Michele Tremblay

Co-Owner, Yoga Instructor

Michele is a co-owner of the studio.  After over 25 years working in the legal field, Michele, an avid practitioner of yoga for eight plus years, decided a more peaceful career path would allow her the opportunity to grow physically, mindfully, and spiritually.  Yoga provides her with an overwhelming sense of pride for having done something for herself, and has allowed her to lead a less stressful life.

Michele completed her 200-hour teacher training at Boston Yoga School, under the instruction of Ame Wren, Caroline Pineau, Kevin Courtney, Josh Summers, and Jenn Duran, which enriched her understanding of hatha yoga, yogic philosophy and lifesytle, along with anatomy and physiology.  Michele has attended many workshops and will always be a student of the practice.

Michele's teaching goal is to provide a balance between fluid movement, grace, strength, and agility, all the while connecting with the breath.  She strives to create an atmosphere that is welcoming, safe, and lighthearted for yogis of all levels to decompress from the outside world.

Melissa Dube

Yoga Instructor/Usui Reiki Master Teacher

Melissa is a Usui Reiki Master Teacher, as well as an Advanced Integrated Energy Therapy (IETⓇ) practitioner, 200hr RYT, and a Registered Nurse. Melissa has had an interest in healing and well-being for as long as she can remember. From childhood she held an understanding that both modern and natural medicines work together to heal. She took first aid classes and also had a rock collection, loved to be outside, studied under the protective branches of the rhododendron bush. She wanted to learn about anything related to the human body, how it works and what to do when things go awry.

Reiki healing has become an important part of her journey. Melissa’s maternal great-grandparents were both Reiki practitioners, as is her mother. Having received Reiki healing many times and felt its powerful effects, she was overjoyed with the opportunity to begin her own journey from client to practitioner with Judy Copp of A Higher Balance in Salem, MA in January of 2011. She began to explore the energy with self-healing as well as hands-on healing sessions for friends and family until July of 2011 when she continued on to her second level of Reiki training, again with Judy Copp.

Melissa works as a nurse in the Oncology department of a local hospital which incorporates a monthly free Reiki clinic for the community where she was then able to expand her practice from friends and family to community clients, eventually taking on some private clients as well.

She spent about four years offering healings and developing an understanding of how the energy feels and works and ultimately she felt called to pursue further training with Laura Class of Gloucester, MA.

In 2015, Melissa received her Reiki Master / Teacher attunements and training privately with Laura. She has deepened her practice over the years offering private sessions, as well as group healings in the form of Reiki Circles, and she continues to be a part of the Reiki clinic within the hospital where she works. She has incorporated Reiki energy into her Yoga classes since completing her Yoga Teacher Training in May of 2019.

In 2019 she was also called by her guides to share this beautiful modality, and thus began offering Reiki Training programs for Level 1 and 2 practitioners. She feels strongly that this healing modality and its beautiful energy be shared, and its traditions honored.

A lifelong learner herself, Melissa has gone on to study with Julianne Santini and John Mercedes of Profound Life Wellness (based in CO) on spiritual journey (2017) as well as Integrated Energy Healing Intensive training (2019) in Teotihuacan, Mexico. She loves learning of the Toltec history and sharing tidbits of knowledge and the energy of this sacred place in her classes and private healings now.

Melissa encourages students to follow their hearts, trust themselves, and step into their power as they invite Reiki healing into their future.

Through thoughtful sequencing, Sarah’s classes focus on the combination of mindful movement and connection to breath. You’ll breathe, expand, smile, release – and leave feeling relaxed, energized and renewed.

Sarah completed her 200-hour teacher training at Back Bay Yoga under the direction of Ame Wren and Lynne Begier.  She is grateful for the opportunity to continue learning from the many amazing teachers in Boston and the Northshore.  Forever a student, Sarah has participated in numerous workshops and has completed her pre-natal training with Bec Conant; yin yoga training with Josh Summers; the Power of Touch mentorship and Restorative Yoga training with Nicole Clark; a mentorship with Julia Tirabassi; and Radiant Child Training Levels 1-3 with Checka Antifonario.

SARAH OLESON

Yoga Instructor

Sarah was introduced to yoga at a young age when her mother brought her along to yoga and meditation classes in their hometown studio in Newburyport, MA.  An active runner and athlete, she has kept a daily practice over the years, diving into many different types of yoga.

Sarah completed her 200 hour Vinyasa Flow Teacher certification with Frog Lotus Yoga International in Bali, Indonesia in 2015, training and teaching alongside some of the best instructors in the world. She also completed her Childlight teacher training, and is certified to teach ages 2-18. Sarah is also OM births certified to teach expecting mothers. In 2017, Sarah ventured to Bali again to complete her 300 hour YTT with Zuna Yoga to further advance her skills and knowledge.

Traveling and teaching all over the world has  allowed Sarah to be constantly inspired by nature, spirituality, and the elements, linking movement, breath and life through the graceful practice. Classes combine kirtan, mantras, mudras, pranyama, and asana… deepening the full yoga experience. Her playful, energizing classes challenge the body while still relaxing the mind. Sarah encourages growth and interconnectedness of the physical and spiritual self within her students, and incorporates accessible levels and modifications for each individual.

Sarah seeks to help others thrive by nurturing the body and soul through yoga, and her hope is that her students will step off the mat and into everyday life with that same nourishment and balanced attitude.  Whether it is your first class or your five-hundredth, Sarah will help you to build your yoga practice, and re-energize your life.
