BACK TO BASICS
This class will focus on basic poses, alignment, and breath. Students will explore poses to increase strength, balance, and flexibility. This class is ideal for those students who have completed the Yoga 101 series, or students who have been off their mat for a while and need a little refreshing.
VINYASA FLOW
Vinyasa Flow classes synchronize breath with movement as one pose leads smoothly into the next. Sequencing varies with each instructor. Students can expect to move through sun and moon salutations, twists, balancing poses, and backbends. Vinyasa Flow classes are helpful in developing more awareness of the physical body, the subtle body, and the breath so that you may find greater ease both on and off the mat. This class is open to students at all levels, some yoga experience is recommended.
GENTLE FLOW
Gentle yoga is the perfect class for those students who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. This class is suitable for new yogis as well as those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga. Students will leave this class feeling calm, relaxed, and ready to face whatever comes their way.
CANDLELIGHT FLOW
A tranquil yoga flow class uniting mind, body, and breath by candlelight. This class offers a balance between movement and stillness, and strength and surrender. This class is the perfect way to unwind after a busy day. All levels are welcome!
VINYASA FLOW TO RESTORE WITH REIKI
This practice is perfect for those yogis who like the energetic flow of a vinyasa class, but who also like to relax in the setting of a restorative class, with Reiki assists from Usui Reiki Master/Teacher Melissa Dube. You will leave you this class feeling energized and refreshed. The class is designed for students at all levels.
SLOW FLOW TO RESTORE
An excellent practice for restoring the body after an injury, illness, or simply to slow down and undo the effects of stress. The first half of the class will be devoted to a slower-paced Vinyasa Flow, and the second half of the class will be devoted to Restorative poses held without effort by using the support of props such as bolsters, blocks, and blankets. Students at all levels are welcome!
RESTORE AND RENEW
Restorative Yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching. Postures are done while seated, lying prone or supine, and are supported by the use of props such as blankets, bolsters, and blocks. Each posture is held for several minutes to allow the muscles to relax deeply. Restore and Renew is held by candlelight while calm, relaxing music is played. Restorative Yoga is a good complement to more active practices, as well as our busy lives, and it is an excellent antidote for stress. This gentle yoga class is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
YIN
Yin targets the connective tissues of the body such as ligaments, joints, and fascia. Yin is a still, passive practice where students hold postures longer, 3-5 minutes, and the body's meridian system is opened to allow the flow of chi energy. Yin helps to create space and increase mobility in our hips, pelvis and spine. Health benefits of Yin can include greater emotional well-being, organ health, and improved immune system function. This class is the perfect complement to a more physical practice. Yin is suitable for all levels, and no prior experience is needed.
